The First of May (Vappu) is an important day among students.
Students, and former students, celebrate Vappu by wearing their white student caps. Noise makers, whistles, balloons, bangles and baubles belong to May Day. During the festivities, a traditional non-alcoholic drink called SIMA is enjoyed cool together with Munkki (Doughnut) or freshly cooked funnel cakes.
